Martino Gamper
Martino Gamper is an Italian designer and artist living and working in London. Beginning at his home in Merano as a furniture maker's apprentice, Gamper went on to study sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and the Royal College of Art in London. Now he's known worldwide for his adventurous and egalitarian designs and sculptural exhibitions!
The Arnold Circus Stool was designed in 2006 as part of a regeneration project of the Arnold Circus area in Shoreditch, London. The rotation moulded polyethylene plastic stools are used as the official seating for all annual events held at Arnold Circus which include picnics, brass band concerts and board game tournaments.
